Dear Mayor and Members of Richmond City Council,
I respectfully ask any member who is eligible under Part Ten of Council Procedure Bylaw No. 7560 to consider whether the applicable notice and timing requirements permit a motion to rescind Resolution R26/14-10.
The published minutes do not indicate what complete materials were reviewed, whether the person referred to was invited to respond, or what action followed the direction concerning the BC Human Rights Tribunal.
I ask Council to clarify that record and, if the Part Ten requirements can be met, consider rescission so the matter can be addressed on a fuller and more transparent record.
This request does not defend discriminatory expression. It concerns the transparency and fairness of the process.
